Junior Business Analyst

Qualifications & Experience 
• Relevant BCom / BSc degree, preferably in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Experience within the financial services industry, preferably Short-Term Insurance.
• Experience working with transactional systems, workflow solutions and/or OMNI channel platforms.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in Agile environments, including sprint planning and related methodologies.
• Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements.
• Experience creating Business Requirements Specifications (BRS) and user stories.
• Experience coordinating testing, user sign-off and deployment activities.
• Good understanding of server infrastructure and IT environments.
• Experience working with software development teams and third-party system vendors.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather, analyse and validate business requirements.
• Identify opportunities for enhancements and new implementations across transactional systems, workflow and OMNI channel components.
• Document business requirements through BRS documents, user stories and related specifications.
• Obtain stakeholder approval and ensure requirements are clearly communicated.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure a shared understanding of business requirements.
• Serve as the communication link between business stakeholders, development teams and transactional system vendors.
• Support and coordinate testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, stakeholder sign-off and deployment of system changes.
• Monitor and communicate progress, risks, issues and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with change management and ensure that implemented solutions meet business requirements.
