Qualifications & Experience 
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certification is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience working as a Scrum Master within Agile software development environments.
• Strong understanding of Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, and Lean-Agile practices.
• Experience facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor Agile teams while fostering self-organisation and continuous improvement.
• Experience removing impediments and managing dependencies to ensure successful Sprint delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management experience, working closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Programme Managers, and business stakeholders.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working within large enterprise or project delivery environments.
• Insurance industry experience will be advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
• Coach, mentor, and support Agile teams in Scrum principles, values, and best practices.
• Act as a servant leader, fostering a collaborative and high-performing Agile environment.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and ensure they are effective and productive.
• Support the Product Owner with backlog refinement, prioritisation, and delivery planning.
• Protect the Scrum team from unnecessary interruptions, scope changes, and external distractions.
• Remove impediments and resolve delivery blockers to maximise team productivity.
• Promote continuous improvement through regular Sprint Retrospectives and process optimisation.
• Monitor Sprint progress, team velocity, and delivery performance.
• Encourage quality, accountability, and adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD).
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Programme Managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
• Support Agile maturity across the team through coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Assist with estimating User Stories, Features, and Epics to support effective release planning.
• Escalate risks, issues, and people-related challenges where appropriate.
• Champion Agile values and promote Lean-Agile leadership behaviours.
