Agile Coach

Responsibilities:
• Drive enterprise agility across portfolio, programme and team levels, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution.
• Support the evolution of Agile maturity across value streams and delivery domains.
• Enable improved collaboration, transparency and delivery outcomes across operational and technology teams.
• Coach leaders and senior stakeholders to embed Agile mindset and principles into decision-making and governance practices.
• Facilitate conflict resolution, problem-solving sessions and psychological safety interventions.
• Promote trust, accountability and cross-functional collaboration across business and delivery teams.
• Design and deliver structured coaching engagements, workshops and enablement sessions tailored to organisational needs.
• Guide teams using Agile principles from frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum and Kanban, while remaining outcome-focused and framework-agnostic.
• Support the adoption of fit-for-purpose Agile practices aligned to business objectives.
• Facilitate value stream mapping and flow improvement workshops to identify bottlenecks and optimise throughput.
• Improve prioritisation, delivery predictability and visibility across initiatives.
• Coach teams towards greater self-organisation, collaboration and cross-functionality.

• Backlog refinement and prioritisation techniques
• Flow metrics and delivery measurement
• Lead and lag performance indicators
• Support the integration of Agile practices within existing governance and reporting structures.
• Enable effective adoption and optimisation of Jira and Confluence for delivery management.
• Develop and refine dashboards and reporting mechanisms to enhance transparency and data-driven decision-making.
• Use delivery metrics to improve performance, forecasting and stakeholder confidence.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, Engineering or related field.
• Certified Agile Coach and/or recognised Agile certifications (e.g. SAFe Agilist/Program Consultant, Scrum Master, Kanban certifications).
• 8+ years’ experience in Agile environments, with at least 3–5 years in an enterprise or portfolio-level coaching role.
• Proven experience coaching across portfolio, programme (ART) and team levels within complex technology and operational delivery environments.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and scaling frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum and Kanban in large organisations.
• Strong experience facilitating value stream mapping, flow optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Practical experience working with Agile tooling such as Jira and Confluence, including dashboards and reporting.
• Experience working closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, HR and finance within transformation initiatives.
• Background in software delivery, digital transformation, or large-scale technology programmes.
• Experience in hybrid delivery environments (Agile and traditional governance models).
