Business Analyst - WMS (Warehouse Management System)

Contract - Woodstock / Montague Gardens
Responsibilities
• Define and plan the Business Analysis approach and deliverables for the WMS programme
• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand business needs and constraints
• Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings
• Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business and functional requirements
• Produce high-quality documentation including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Specifications
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- Process maps and workflows
• Document As-Is and To-Be processes and perform gap analysis
• Identify process improvement opportunities aligned to WMS capabilities
• Work closely with project managers, developers, vendors, and architects
• Support solution design by ensuring requirements traceability and clarity
• Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Define test scenarios and cases
- Support test execution
- Track and resolve defects with stakeholders
• Ensure alignment between business requirements and delivered solutions
• Support change management and business readiness activities
• Provide ongoing stakeholder communication and status feedback
• Assist with rollout, transition, and post-implementation support where required
Qualifications & Experience
• Certified Business Analyst qualification (CBAP, CCBA, FTI, or equivalent preferred)
• Minimum 8+ years’ Business Analysis experience
• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst on large-scale projects/programmes
• Strong Retail industry experience essential
• Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain and Distribution Centre (DC) environments
• Hands-on experience working on WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or similar logistics platforms
• Solid experience working across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Experience producing detailed BA artefacts (BRDs, FRS, process maps, user stories, test scenarios)
• Proven track record facilitating cross-functional workshops and stakeholder sessions
• Experience managing and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Familiarity with process modelling and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, BPMN tools, Jira, Confluence or similar)
