Learning Instructional Designer

Fixed Term - Bellville
Responsibilities:
 - Engage with key individuals to identify learning objectives and requirements as aligned with the business culture and objectives
 - Develop and update learning programs to meet learning objectives
 - Design and develop assessments to evaluate learning and knowledge acquired, as well as its impact
 - Consult with key stakeholders to ensure learning content is accurate and relevant
 - Design and develop learning frameworks, storyboards, video scripts, delivery plans, workshop materials, etc
 - Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods
 - Maintain project plans, documentation, course folders and workflow using relevant internal tools
 - Remain abreast of trends and technologies in the field of learning and development
 - Provide input into internal processes and learning methodologies to aid continuous improvement
 - Provide internal QA
 - Excellent planning and co-ordination skills
 - The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team is required
 - Problem solving, juggling multiple priorities, as well as working within set time frames
 - Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
 - Strong service orientation towards all stakeholders
Experience:
 - Relevant tertiary qualification in L&D discipline
 - Minimum 3 years of experience in designing and developing blended and online training programs
 - Exposure to working in financial services preferred
 - Ability to work quickly and independently while meeting the required quality levels
 - Deep understanding of instructional design, learning principles, and accessibility
 - Basic proficiency in instructional design tools and technologies – LMS systems, and industry standard authoring tools
 - Experience with Articulate storyline or other interactive lesson development tools highly beneficial
 - Experience in developing online courses is highly desirable
 - Expertise in micro-learning experiences and transforming classroom or blended courses into engaging online formats
 - Ability to engage effectively and credibly with all stakeholders in both spoken and written format
 - Excellent presentation, writing, and customer service skills
 - Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences is essential
 - Excellent organisational skills, a team-orientated attitude, ability to meet
