Project Co-Ordinator

Contract - Cape Town 
Responsibilities:
• Support the Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure
• Monitor progress and performance of assigned projects (Sales Portal and Self-Service initiatives – 50% allocation each)
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and updates
• Engage and liaise with stakeholders within the digital environment
• Coordinate resources, schedules, and budgets to ensure project delivery
• Track project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as necessary
• Utilize project management tools to maintain accurate records and facilitate reporting

• Effective verbal and written communication
• Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools:
o JIRA, Confluence, PPO (2+ years experience
o SharePoint, MS Projects (or similar), Excel (intermediate)
• Team player with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving and proactive approach to challenges
Experience:
• 6–10 years’ experience as a Project Co-Ordinator, preferably within Financial Services (Insurance industry advantageous)
• Proven experience in project environments, supporting project activities including resource planning, budget management, and project planning
• Knowledge of project governance and project lifecycle requirements
• Experience or exposure to Scrum Master or Junior Project Manager roles is advantageous
• Formal Project Coordinator qualifications are required
• Agile training and experience working within Scrum or Kanban frameworks (advantageous)
• Sound understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC)
• Strong financial and budgeting skills
