Sales Representative

Permanent - Gauteng
Responsibilities
 - Building and maintaining relationships with area customers in the northern part of South Africa
 - Areas cover North-West, Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga
 - Exceed sales targets on a regular basis
 - New business development is a key part of the position in order to grow the business
 - Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, including qualifying leads, scheduling meetings and creating proposals
 - Maintain the company's existing relationships with clients and ensure renewal of contracts within the accounts
 - Build and maintain accurate sales data, and provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management
 - Collaborate with Area Manager to do planning for installations and training, etc.
 - Must be willing to do extensive travelling
 - Must be able to do cold calling, find leads and preferably have a good South African Fruit Industry network
 - Drive promotions as and when needed with customers
 - Attend exhibitions, roadshows, conferences, etc. as and when needed
 - Work closely with the central sales assistant for all quotations
 - Be responsible for any outstanding debtors within client accounts
 - Report to Area Manager with dotted reporting chain to Sales and Marketing Manager for sales

- Be a sales hunter / new business developer
- Strong presentation skills
- Good administrative skills
- Must have a driver’s license
- South African Fruit industry knowledge important but not specific requirement
- Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Perform well under pressure
