Qualifications & Experience 
• Relevant degree or diploma, preferably in Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a technology, systems or financial services environment.
• Exposure to programming, scripting or technical system configuration.
• Experience analysing system behaviour and identifying opportunities to improve IT systems and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve complex technical and system-related problems.
• Strong understanding of system functionality, data integrity and system controls.
Advantageous:
• Experience with order management or trading systems.
• Experience with unit trust or fund accounting systems.
• Experience in financial data analysis.
• Knowledge of financial/market instruments, including Fixed Income.
• Understanding of investment management processes and financial calculations.
• Exposure to investment management or financial markets environments.
Responsibilities
• Monitor the overall health and performance of systems on a daily basis.
• Monitor, maintain and improve daily system controls.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of business and market data.
• Engage with business users to identify, source and manage new data integration requirements.
• Test new instrument types and validate end-to-end system integrity.
• Test and recreate system calculations to verify the accuracy and functionality of financial systems.
• Analyse system behaviour and identify potential issues or inconsistencies.
• Implement system configuration changes that affect application views, functionality and behaviour.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT implementation teams to implement system changes and enhancements.
• Perform system configuration changes in line with business requirements.
• Provide technical support to the Investment Management Team and assist with resolving system-related issues.
